This is a two-session online workshop, December 7 & 9, 2020.

In this course, students will learn basic block printing techniques for at-home printmaking using easy-to-cut soft block stamps on paper. We will discuss how to choose images that will carve well, how to inverse and transfer onto blocks, followed by carving, inking and printing techniques.

All students will be encouraged to create a small edition of prints from the class as well as a set of correspondence cards and some decorative wrapping paper. By the end of the class, students will have a new skill they can easily master at home as well as ready-to-frame prints, cards and gift wrap for the holiday season.
