First-time author? Sandra knows how to get you from a rough draft to published author. A nonfiction book editor, independent publishing consultant, writing instructor, and ghostwriter, she has worked with fighter pilots, an alphabet of law enforcement, a sex worker, a bank robber, Holocaust survivors, and a police commissioner who helped solve a serial killer case and many extraordinary people with amazing stories to tell. She specializes in true crime, memoir (selected), business/leadership, and self-help. She’s also the author of the award-winning book Cover to Cover: What First-Time Authors Need to Know About Editing. She teaches how to write a book at two community colleges and is a book award judge.
Services Description
Manuscript evaluation, beta reader process (where 12 to 20 likely book readers/buyers provide feedback for revision under her guidance), line editing, and selected ghostwriting and book doctoring. She also shepherds her authors through the editing and production and publishing process and into marketing because first-time authors need guidance and navigation away from scams. She promotes the independent publishing model.
