Associate Marketing Data Analyst | Macmillan Learning

Macmillan Learning is seeking an Associate Marketing Data Analyst! The Associate Marketing Data Analyst will provide support for surveys, reports, and dashboards that deliver customer insights–stories about our successes and failures from the numbers–and make strategic recommendations. This person will manage the creation of templates and reports for marketing surveys, our marketing and community websites, and e-commerce, with the twin purpose of improving business intelligence across the organization and driving revenue through actionable data.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Work across the marketing teams (digital marketing, market development, product marketing, communications, web, and events) to understand the systems and data points applicable to each group, and to advise on areas for opportunity and collaboration in ingesting and tracking data
  • Create Qualtrics survey templates and manage the process of survey creation for the purpose of market research
  • Develop a dynamic collection of automated and easy-to-use reports on the Qualtrics surveys, Marketo programs, instructor catalog, student store, and customer community that contribute meaningful analysis and actionable insights
  • Develop and maintain documentation and basic training for the best practice for analyzing survey, web, and campaign analytics data to support the marketing teams
  • Monitor Google Analytics and HotJar, and create analytics reports for Student Store and Instructor Catalog.
  • Ensure that analytics results drive consumer experience and business impact and help achieve marketing goals
  • Provide stakeholders with actionable recommendations and calls for action based on your gathered insights. Translate gathered insights into engaging stories–actionable and easy to digest insights and results presentations.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; preferred in Data Science, Marketing, Business, or a related field
  • At least 1 year of experience with marketing analytics or marketing operations
  • Ability to develop reports and dashboards
  • A passion for delivering data-based recommendations for quantifiable improvements in business results and consumer satisfaction.
  • Personal interest in staying up-to-date on the latest marketing trends and best practices
  • Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, data manipulation, and analysis
  • Excellence in verbal and written communication, comfortable presenting complex topics to stakeholders at various organizational levels both in-person and remotely
  • Proficiency with Google Analytics, Power BI or data visualization techniques a bonus
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM, Qualtrics surveys, and HotJar a plus
