Marketing Associate | HarperOne

HarperOne, an imprint of HarperCollins Publishers, seeks a dedicated, organized, multi-tasking Marketing Associate. The Marketing Associate works closely with the Marketing team to provide support as well as to create and execute title marketing campaigns.

  • Creates and executes marketing plans for select titles each season.
  • Presents marketing plans in meetings with sales, editors, authors, agents, and the Publisher.
  • Works closely with authors to develop and execute title marketing campaigns, that include content development, pre-order timelines, identifying partnerships and paid marketing venues, and social media marketing.
  • Coordinates with publicity, editorial, and sales on galleys, events, special editions, and marketing collateral, as well managing and executing advertising campaigns.
  • Posts creative content on the imprint’s social media accounts and collaborates with marketing team to grow our numbers and engagement
  • Helps write and grow imprint newsletters.
  • Assists Marketing Director on select national bestselling campaigns each season.



  • Minimum 2 years of relevant publishing experience required; title marketing experience preferred
  • Experience with/knowledge of nonfiction genres including personal development, spirituality, narrative non-fiction, and healthy living
  • Strong knowledge of social media and web technologies (e.g. Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Shortstack, Email deployment)
  • Proficient in basic computer applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; knowledge of basic HTML, CMS and Photoshop a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be detailed-oriented, well-organized, and able to manage priorities under pressure
  • Ability to take initiative and direction
