Marketing Production Manager | AFAR Media

The Marketing Production Manager plays a key role in executing AFAR’s integrated marketing programs that include a mix of digital media, custom content, print, and experiential elements. The Marketing Production Manager will focus on creating and maintaining production systems to ensure work gets done on time and on budget and that campaigns run smoothly and successfully.

Job Duties

Manage the day-to-day workflow of all creative projects, including but not limited to creative briefs, timelines, reviews/routing, budgeting, contracts, and invoicing.
Work with key stakeholders to develop a strategy for launching all integrated marketing campaigns on time and on budget
Develop strategy for tracking, managing, and reporting on all campaign KPIs
Create and maintain master production calendar to track the status of all client campaigns, and campaign elements, to be utilized by key stakeholders across the finance, ad ops, marketing, editorial, and executive management teams
Create and maintain a database of diverse freelance talent, contractors and vendors
Create and maintain tracking documents
Project, monitor, actualize budgets
Support the creative team in digital production, including but not limited to building, testing, QAing digital articles and experiences (within internal CMS and external platforms), digital creative, emails, and social posts as needed
Set and enforce print and digital creative team deadlines
Act as key liaison between marketing and editorial teams to ensure all ideas, expectations, and campaign needs are tracked and communicated in a timely manner
Direct and manage freelancers, contractors, and vendors
Review proofs, do final quality control read before publishing
Process and track invoices
Coordinate cross-department programs and new launches with other internal teams


Minimum of three years’ experience in a producer or project management role in media, publishing, or related fields.
Excellent organizational, project management, and time management skills
Must be technically proficient with Indesign, Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop
Nice to have: Final Cut, Illustrator, Ceros, MS Suite, Keynote, Google Analytics, Boostr
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
Team player who enjoys collaborating with others and gets satisfaction from helping teammates do their best
Must be highly passionate, accountable, collaborative, and entrepreneurial
Must be a proactive self-starter
Must possess the ability to manage multiple projects at once
Must be detail-oriented and deadline-savvy
