Operations Manager

PURPOSE:

Help Berrett-Koehler Publishers, Inc. grow as a strong, stable, and independent publisher by fostering staff engagement by supporting the health, welfare and culture of Berrett-Koehler.  This is accomplished by ensuring benefits are administered accurately and timely, being first point of contact with new staff as well as current staff and by creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for all visitors that come to Berrett-Koehler.  This position is supervised by the Director of Finance and Operation

RESPONSIBILTIES:

  • A/P, payroll and miscellaneous accounting support
  • Provide Facility support
  • Provide HR benefit support
  • Create key monthly reports
  • Provide administrative support for BK Office

ORGANIZATIONAL:

  • Attend monthly staff meeting
  • Attend weekly operations meetings

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Essential skills and experience:
  • At least 5 years of experience working in an office setting. Comfortable working in a Mac OS environment. Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Desirable skills:
  • Familiar with general accounting processes and procedures, familiar with Acumen accounting and inventory management software for publishers, and/or experience using FileMaker Pro or other database software.

COMPENSATION:

  • Salary $65,000
  • Health, Dental, Disability, HSA and Life insurance
