We are seeking a Production Coordinator to join our team and assist in producing books in key areas like health and wellness, personal growth, and holistic lifestyle; and in emerging categories like social justice, cannabis, and trauma and somatics. Position overview

The Production Coordinator assists with all aspects of book production, including new titles, reprints, ebook file preparation, file management, creating digital assets, and archiving. The position reports to the Production Manager. This position is 30 hours a week. NAB is home-based for the foreseeable future, though we prefer candidates to be local to the Bay Area in anticipation of an eventual return to the physical office. • Track, prepare, and order print jobs; approve proofs and ensure timely delivery of books to the warehouse.
• Implement cover and interior file adjustments and corrections. Preflight and create press-ready files.
• Maintain thorough digital record-keeping.
• Archive final press files.
• Maintain reprint correction archive.
• Update epub files with reprint corrections.

• Assist in reviewing and trouble-shooting art for new titles. Assist with image adjustment, cropping, and cleanup.
• Create simple illustrations and infographics.
• Create and load digital assets to various platforms.
• Design miscellaneous collateral for the Rights department.
• Assemble/create supplemental audiobook PDFs.

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent; 3+ years in an art, design, or editorial environment.
• Strong skills in Adobe CC InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat. Illustrator a plus.
• Knowledge of book specifications, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to pay close attention to detail, work independently, and meet deadlines.
• Highly organized with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with editorial standards a plus.
• Google Suite, MS Office Suite.
