Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for carrying out an efficient process to manage the project plan which includes due dates, budget estimates, prioritization, and potential issues for successful delivery
  • Develop strong relationships, project plans, and work within the Wiley Education Services teams supporting the execution, completion and tracking of their business optimization activities
  • Understand structure and reporting flow for accomplishing open items and flagging open issues, and finding solutions
  • Track issues and enable efforts to find resolution by enlisting and identifying the necessary direction to needed resources
  • Report to the Manger and provide updates for upcoming activities and open issues
  • Anticipate planning needs for upcoming projects
  • Conduct regular team status meetings
  • Communicate with different levels of the staff and leadership teams by providing program/project status and reports

 

Minimum Skills, Knowledge and Ability Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in project management
  • Experience in large program management and/or operations environment
  • Understanding of project management processes and methodologies for governance and tracking
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • PMP required
  • Lean Six Sigma experience preferred
  • Higher education experience is a plus

 

Candidates should have a strong track record of program and project delivery across multiple business units (or cross functional teams) and preferably in a global organization. We are seeking candidates who have demonstrable experience managing projects leveraging PMO best practices based on Agile and Lean principles.
