Publicist | Chronicle Prism

Chronicle Prism, an imprint of Chronicle Books, is seeking a full-time in-house Publicist to plan and execute roughly 16–18 title campaigns per year, as well as represent the imprint to outside stakeholders. The Publicist will advise on the media potential and timing of releases, discuss publicity opportunities with authors and agents, plan and execute publicity campaigns, and pitch to national and regional TV, print, radio, and online media. They will also execute author tours, create pitch letters and other press material, and work closely with the Associate Director of Marketing.

Candidates will need a 4-year college degree or equivalent work experience, a minimum 5 years of experience in trade book publicity, strong existing media relationships and an ability to manage multiple projects while working independently. In addition, strong written and verbal communication skills, effective public presentation abilities and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce, and Muck Rack are required.
