Corwin seeks a Senior Marketing Manager to work closely with the marketing team, publisher, editor, and authors to develop and implement creative marketing & sales strategies for our Fisher & Frey imprint. Reporting to the Marketing Director, this individual will play a critical role in continuing to grow Fisher & Frey imprint book line, as well as working with all parts of the business to create cohesive marketing plans that include their events and consulting services. The ideal candidate will be passionate about marketing and will be able to create marketing strategies using current & creative approaches.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities

What you’ll do:

Lead a team:

  • Management includes coaching, developing, guidance, & performance feedback for the following direct report:
    • Associate Marketing Manager, who is responsible for marketing Whole Child, including SEL, Counseling, Special Education, and Brain-Compatible Learning


Be strategic:

  • Create marketing plans at the discipline level for branding purposes and at the individual book level to generate awareness and sales
  • Use a variety of marketing channels including email campaigns, digital ads, web promotion, social media
  • Maximize sales by utilizing all possible sales and marketing channels
  • Monitor competitors
  • Develop strong content-focused marketing campaigns for product lines and channels
  • Analyze marketing response and data to adjust strategies
  • Report on marketing activities, campaign performance, and sales to our authors and marketing leadership team
  • Continuously monitor sales and adjust marketing efforts to maximize profitability


Collaborate/build and sustain partnerships:

  • Interact professionally with authors, associations, and customers
  • Work in close partnership with editorial team in the interest of alignment and maximum impact
  • Work closely with other marketing managers to cross market products from other product lines
  • Work closely with various international publishing divisions in Europe and Asia to cross market products as needed


Weigh in on product development:

  • Continually develop product, market, and competitor knowledge through district visits, conventions, editorial, author, and customer communication
  • Advise Editorial on new product development
  • Provide input to editorial team on product content, market placement, pricing, projections, proposed titles, and other Professional Development products
  • Budget and forecast sales of assigned products and expenses on an annual and monthly basis



  • Plan, schedule and manage booth exhibits for 2-3 conventions a year
  • Maximize booth traffic via promotions and advertising strategies

Qualifications & Education

What you’ll bring:

  • 7+years of K12 or publishing experience
  • Experience developing & executing successful multichannel marketing campaigns
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Effective leadership skills to develop your marketing team
  • Strong communication, organization, and writing skills
