From the Bench of Max’s Garage Press :: Tiny Splendor

Welcome to From the Bench, SFCB’s series of short studio tours with friends near and far. From favorite tools to works in progress, you never know what you’ll learn about from these amazing artists.

This month we’ll chat with Max Stadnik and Sanaa Khan of Max’s Garage Press and Tiny Splendor, based in Berkeley and Los Angeles. Founded in 2012, it started out as a small zine making press, selling work out of a homemade wooden traveling gallery on the street. It has grown into a large warehouse space with resources for Riso printing, stone / plate lithography, etching, screen printing and much more.

It now operates as a publishing press for artists around the world (Tiny Splendor(link is external)) and as an open community printshop with over 80 members (Max’s Garage Press(link is external)).
