Publishing Professionals Network is an all-volunteer, membership-driven 501(c)(6) nonprofit association that promotes success across all aspects of bookmaking through education, career development, and community building.
Founded as Bookbuilders West in 1969, the organization was rechartered as PPN in 2012 to respond to the evolving nature of book publishing and to embrace business partnerships and personal connections within our industry.
PPN’s Bay Area roots are reflected in its support for innovative, diverse book publishing. The Annual Conference and other professional development and awards programs encourage publishing excellence, offer strategies for career and skills enhancement, and strengthen personal and professional relationships in the publishing industry.
The PPN Board of Directors provides PPN’s formal framework. The all-volunteer board members actively serve on numerous committees that carry out PPN’s mission.
