About the Awards
For more than fifty years, the PPN Book Awards have recognized and celebrated excellence in book making by judging titles and rewarding those with outstanding book design, production, and manufacturing.
Each submission is evaluated individually against criteria appropriate to the category (categories are flexible and determined each awards year, but always include recognition for the best book and the best cover/jacket).
Book considerations:
- art
- layout excellence
- manufacturing
- typography
One winner and up to four finalists are selected in each category. Books are judged here in the SF Bay Area (covers/jackets in New York City). All award recipients are featured on our website.
