Help Develop Future Publishing Professionals

The One-Day Immersion Program is back and expanding in 2019 to the spring and fall. This program is aimed at those who are new to publishing and exploring what’s out there and at those wanting to break into the publishing industry. In just one day, the Immersion Program offers an insider’s look into an established publisher and provides an invaluable networking opportunity.

Drive Diversity & Inclusivity in Publishing

In 2019 we are launching a Diversity & Inclusivity program to provide mentoring and coaching to persons from underrepresented groups. We are working with an expert in this field to develop this program and explore alternate offerings in the future.

Support the Publishing Community

Our Freelance Directory helps connect job seekers in over 60 specialized publishing-related services for print and digital with those seeking help with their projects.

The Jobs Bank lists openings in all areas of publishing and is available free to members and non-members. It’s an excellent way to advertise jobs and find new talent for your team.

The Events Calendar provides a listing of our events and includes a curated list of events at area organizations that would be of interest to our membership.

Find Networking Opportunities

PPN’s social events provide great opportunities for members to connect with other publishing professionals and build their network. In 2019, we are holding the annual Book Show and a series of speaker events, which focus on topics of interest to the PPN community. The Speaker Series will be held throughout the year at publishing offices in the Bay Area and beyond. Look out for Pop-up Events coming to your area during the year.

Membership Information

Our dues meet the needs of our network with affordable rates:

$25.00 for companies with 1 to 2 employees

$175.00 for companies of 3 to 9 employees

$400.00 for companies of 10 or more

$750.00 for a Supporting Corporate Member: As a Supporting Corporate Member, you will help PPN find new ways to provide educational opportunities to aspiring publishing professionals in the One-Day Immersion Program, support the Diversity & Inclusivity initiative, and underwrite events like the Book Show and Speaker Series. Your company will receive recognition for your contribution at events and on our website.

Dues cover membership for the calendar year, January to December. Members receive renewal notices in January and dues can be paid online.
