About the Awards
For more than half a century, the PPN Book Awards have recognized and celebrated excellence in bookmaking by judging titles and rewarding those based on:
- art
- layout/design
- manufacturing
- typography
Individual submissions are evaluated against criteria appropriate to the category. (Note: Members are entitled to a discounted submission fee per entry. See other membership benefits.) One winner and up to four finalists are selected in each category. Books are judged in the SF Bay Area, while covers/jackets are judged in New York City. All award recipients are featured on our website.
