We are seeking an experienced Editor/Researcher with a strong background in print and online publishing. This position includes hands-on involvement in the editorial process, as well as overall management responsibility for our U.S. & Canada references, printed and online.

The Company

The Drivers License Guide Company has 50 years of experience publishing references that compile information on government-issued ID documents from around the world. Our small, independent Redwood City company is the most relied upon source in this specialized field, serving a wide range of businesses, financial firms, and government agencies.

Responsibilities

Research: Communicate effectively with sources at government issuing agencies; research to identify new information and contacts.

Analyze incoming content: New images and text.

Write, edit, and integrate new content.

Manage publication schedules: Set timelines; enforce deadlines; manage vendors; manage multiple projects.

Promote product enhancements: Consider improvements in design, content, and new features.

Ideal candidate

Excellent English skills; 10 years of professional publishing experience, preferably in a technical or educational field.

Ability to build relationships with sources, finding new support as needed.

A passion for accuracy, an eye for detail, and strong logic and reasoning skills.

Exceptional organizational skills.

Working familiarity with style guides; software skills that are consistent with the editorial experience level required of this position.
