Compensation:

$20-$23/Hour, depending on experience. Benefits include: Paid Days Off, Health Care Stipend, Sick Time, Vacation, 401K Plan.

Location

Hybrid with a minimum of 3 days/week in-office in Jack London Square, Oakland CA

Responsibilities
  • Maintain accuracy and consistency across records, including contracts, client information, and project documentation.
  • Assist the publisher with data entry for marketing budget, royalty adjustments, ensuring accuracy in tracking, calculations, and updates to royalty records.
  • Assist with foreign rights and subsidiary rights deals, including the tracking of details on any income from licensing agreements.
  • Collect and maintain a high volume of publishing documents in organized files for accessibility and accuracy.
  • Support Amazon sales performance by monitoring advertising budgets and auditing product detail pages to ensure accuracy, optimization, and alignment with revenue goals.
  • Update contributor contact lists and internal mailing lists.
  • File for Copyright for all new titles and apply for LCCNs for all titles on the Library of Congress Portal.
  • Administer data entry (press hits, advertisements, author events) into our distributor’s marketing & sales database, as well as other marketing assistance.
  • Manage Audiobooks: Upload data for audiobooks to industry platforms and track resulting royalties.
  • Process sample requests.
  • Monitor orders and shipping logistics, and fulfill all mailing requests.
  • Upload the requested Digital Materials for the Foreign Rights Agent.
  • Monitor, tracks, and respond to author event orders and logistics, and liaises with appropriate members of the sales staff and internal team for follow-up.
  • Performs sales-related administrative support duties for the founder.
  • Generate reports and dashboards to communicate key performance indicators and inform decision-making.
  • Fulfill colleague and client requests for documents quickly and accurately.
  • Perform other administrative tasks as needed.
Required Skills

The candidate must possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, be comfortable working independently, be highly organized, and be able to prioritize and multitask while meeting strict deadlines. Additionally, the candidate should have a can-do attitude and the ability to communicate on behalf of the company clearly.

Qualifications

Working knowledge of Google Workspace and Microsoft Office, including spreadsheets. Experience with AirTable is a bonus!
