PPN has promoted the cause of Diversity and Inclusion at conferences and through educational efforts, but we acknowledge that much more must be done and we are stepping up our efforts in this area.

On June 8, 2020, we announced our support of We Need Diverse Books (WNDB), a nonprofit organization whose mission is to “Imagine a world in which all children can see themselves in the pages of a book.” WNDB advocates for changes in the publishing industry that directly align with PPN’s goal to provide opportunities for all individuals involved in book publishing and to increase diversity and inclusivity in the industry.

Together, we can make publishing a better vocation for all, and perhaps also make the world a better place.
