Explore the fun and intuitive nature of collage in this continuation workshop following Introduction to Collage. Students will have the opportunity to explore several techniques based on unique, personal interests and narratives. Students will develop compositional skills, a deeper understanding of depth, shape, form, and color.
In the first class, we will begin with a landscape collage project, focusing on the compositional concepts of color, and space (foreground, middle ground and background). In the second class, we will work on a build collage project, reimagining architecture, lines, shapes, and form.
The class will balance instruction, a significant amount of work time/studio process, and casual class feedback. This class is open to all levels and there are no prerequisites. Come prepared to glue!
