Director of Marketing and Sales – UC Press (Hybrid)
Location: Oakland, CA (Hybrid Schedule)
Salary: $158,000 – $177,500 annually, commensurate with experience

About the Role:
We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Marketing and Sales to lead our efforts in growing revenue, expanding our audience, and enhancing UC Press’s visibility. This role will oversee marketing, sales, and publicity strategies to meet ambitious goals while fostering a positive, high-performing team culture.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement marketing, sales, and communication strategies.
Lead a team to deliver impactful campaigns for consumer, library, and higher education markets.
Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis to meet revenue targets.
Foster partnerships across the academic and publishing communities.

About You:
10+ years of marketing and sales experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
Strong people management skills with a passion for coaching and team development.
Proven ability to innovate, drive results, and navigate change in the publishing industry.
