Senior Designer, UC Press – Hybrid

Come join the design team at UC Press!

We’re looking for a senior book designer to join the Oakland-based design department at University of California Press (https://www.ucpress.edu/), a nonprofit press publishing forward-thinking work across the humanities, social sciences, and sciences and reaching readers far beyond the academy.

UC Press’s designers make books that are beautiful, conceptually sharp, and deeply considered. The senior book designer will work closely with acquisitions editors and the production team to turn complex ideas into compelling books that bring change to the world.

If you’re a designer who loves typography, visual storytelling, and the particular magic of the book—and who wants to join a lively and collaborative community of colleagues—submit your portfolio and resumé for our review.
